Those looking for an entry-level phone will find much to like in the LG VX3300. With built-in polyphonic ringtones, a speakerphone, and a big, full-color display, this little companion will quickly find a home in your pocket or purse.
The phone features a traditional clamshell design with a 128 x 128 color display with 65,000 colors. Most of the phone’s features and on-screen menus are controlled by a five-way center button on the handset’s blue backlit control pad.
The top right side of the unit houses an antenna, and a charging port is housed on the unit’s bottom edge. There’s a standard jack to accept universal hands-free headsets on the left side of the handset. And if you like to dress up your phone to suit your style, the VX3300 accepts removable faceplates so you can customize its look.
The VX3300’s built-in address book can store up to 300 contacts for quick and easy management of phone numbers and e-mail addresses. The phone comes with built-in polyphonic ringtones plus a vibrating alert and, you can also record your own voice to serve as a ringtone. Voice-activated dialing makes calling your friends, family, and associates as easy as saying their names.
The speed dialing feature allows you to dial up to 99 numbers virtually instantaneously. A built-in speakerphone makes it easy to talk without having the phone to your ear, and the VX3300’s GPS location technology pinpoints your exact location when you dial 911.
Perhaps most importantly for users in rural areas, the VX3300 is a tri-mode phone, meaning it can operate on Verizon’s digital networks, as well as on the analog networks that serve many outlying areas.
